FanRoute 26 is designed with privacy first. Your data stays on your device. We don't sell your data — ever.

1. Information We Collect

FanRoute 26 collects minimal data to provide you with the best World Cup companion experience:

Match predictions and scores you enter Local only
Favorite teams and venues you select Local only
Trip routes you plan within the app Local only
Camera access (only when you use FanCam) Never in background
Notification preferences Local only

2. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used solely to:

Display your predictions and track your score
Personalize match recommendations
Send match reminders you opted into
Generate your World Cup journal entries

We do NOT sell your personal data to third parties.

3. Data Storage

All personal data is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. We do not maintain external servers that store your personal information.

If you delete the app, all local data is removed.

4. Third-Party Services

Apple StoreKit — For in-app purchases (handled entirely by Apple)
Apple MapKit — For venue and route maps
Analytics — We use privacy-focused analytics that do not track individual users

5. Camera & Photos

FanCam requires camera access to take photos with match overlays. Photos are created locally and only shared when you explicitly choose to share them.

We never access your camera in the background.

6. Location Data

If you grant location access, it is used only to:

Show fan zones and venues near you
Provide local match-day information

Location data is never stored on external servers and is only processed on your device.

7. Notifications

Push notifications are used for match reminders and goal alerts you've opted into. You can disable notifications at any time in your device Settings.

8. Children's Privacy

FanRoute 26 does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app is designed for general audiences.

9. Your Rights

You can:

Delete all your data by deleting the app
Revoke permissions (camera, location, notifications) in Settings
Request information about data we process

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app.
